ネバーランドは英国の作家J. M. バリーが創作したピーターパンが住む架空の島の名前です。
ネバーランドには、ロストボーイズなど子供たちが住み、基本的に年を取りません。ピーターパンも大人になることを拒絶しており、ネバーランドには永遠の子供のイメージがあります。
約束のネバーランドも、当初タイトルとして「永遠の子供たち」や「Neverland」も候補に上がったそうです。
タイトルのネバーランドには、大人になる前に出荷される子供たちが住む世界という意味があるのだと思います。
