裕二は、祖父の死の間際に祖父に言われる。「人を助けろ」「大勢に囲まれて死ね」「俺のようになるなよ」と。
しかし、裕二の生活は、伏黒恵に会い一変する。伏黒は呪術師で、呪物の回収に来ていた。裕二の友人が発見した呪物を開けた時、呪物により生じた呪いが学校を彷徨い始め、事態は悪化する。伏黒と裕二が呪いに敗れかけた時、裕二は呪物を飲み込み、その力を獲得する。その結果、裕二は呪物の呪いを受け、伏黒のいるスリルに富んだ世界、呪術師と呪いの世界に巻き込まれることになる。
いくつか聞きなれない慣用句が使われているので解説します。
happy as clam: とても幸せ、とても満足、という意味です。as happy as a clam at high tide/water ともいます。直訳は「満潮時のあさりのように幸せ」。あさりは干潮時は潮干狩りで人間に採られて食べられてしまいます。満潮時は採られないので幸せなんですね。似た表現で、happy as a pig in the mudもあります。
for kicks: スリルを求めて、面白がって、気晴らしに、という意味です。just for kicksともいいます。kickにはfunとかthrillという意味もあるんですね。
go south: 悪化する、劣化する、という意味です。Things go southで、事態が悪化する、という意味になります。何故南に行く＝悪化なのか？諸説ありますが、地図で南は「下」で通常株価など価格を示すグラフで下は悪化を示すからだとか、米国南北戦争時代に南部の方が奴隷制度が厳しかったからだとか、歴史的に米国にとって南部のテキサスやさらに南のメキシコは治安が悪かったからなどといわれているようです。

主人公: 虎杖悠仁（いたどり・ゆうじ）
Yuji Itadori is the main protagonist of the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He was living a normal life until he encountered Megumi Fushiguro and ate one of Sukuna’s fingers. After becoming Sukuna's vessel, Yuji began attending Tokyo Jujutsu High alongside Megumi Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki as first-year students.

descendant: 子孫、末裔、という意味です。逆に、先祖 は ancestor です。類義語で形容詞だと 降りていく、登っていく という意味で descendent, ascendent となります。
outwardly: 外見上は、見た目は、の意味です。逆に、内面は、内心は は inwardly となります。
釘崎野薔薇（くぎさき・のばら）
Nobara Kugisaki is the tritagonist of the Jujutsu Kaisen series. She is a first-year student and grade 3 jujutsu sorcerer at Tokyo Jujutsu High studying under Satoru Gojo alongside Yuji and Megumi.
Nobara is a confident and brash young woman with an unshakable character. More than anything, Nobara is determined to stay true to herself no matter what. She takes great pride in being both a pretty girl and a strong fighter, refusing to let anyone influence her.

Gojo has white hair and has bright blue eyes, but they're usually covered by his signature black blindfold. He is normally seen to be nonchalant and playful.
Even among the special grade sorcerers, Satoru is known to be the strongest sorcerer in the series, holding both immense amounts of cursed energy and a dangerously powerful technique.

His experiences as a jujutsu sorcerer bred a deep hatred for non-sorcerers, leading to an incident where Suguru massacred over a hundred civilians in a single night. He was expelled from Jujutsu High and came to be known as the worst of all curse users.
He masquerades himself under the facade of a Buddhist priest.
Suguru Geto hated non-sorcerers, usually referring to them as "monkeys". He felt sorcerers are the superior race and humanity's next stage of evolution.

facade: 建物の正面、正面扉、うわべ、見せかけ、という意味です。元々、建物を特徴付ける装飾が施された正面の構造や外観を指します。それが転じて、うわべや見せかけという意味も持つようになったものです。
偽夏油（ニセげとう）／羂索（けんじゃく）
Kenjaku is one of the primary antagonists of the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He is an ancient sorcerer who pursues the goal of "evolving" humanity via cursed energy, thereby ushering in a new golden age of jujutsu sorcery paralleling the Heian Era. Using his cursed technique that allows him to transplant his brain into different bodies to possess them, he has inhabited different people throughout the centuries, assuming different identities.
Among those he has possessed was Noritoshi Kamo over 150 years ago, as whom Kenjaku became known as history's evilest sorcerer and a stain on the Kamo Family. Currently, Kenjaku possesses the body of the deceased Suguru Geto—whom he chose for his Cursed Spirit Manipulation—and has assumed his identity as Pseudo-Geto.

呪術廻戦は、呪いをテーマに、呪いを具現化した呪霊と呪術師たちとの戦いが描かれるダークファンタジーです。
敵と味方が同じくネガティブな感情である呪力を用い、単純な善悪二元論で終わっていない点も、物語の世界観に厚みを与えています。

印象的なセリフはいくつもありますが、ここでは代表的なものを挙げておきます。

虎杖悠仁の祖父が死の間際に悠仁に残した言葉。悠仁の行動原理となった言葉です。
爺ちゃんの死は独りだったかもしれないが「正しい死」(Proper death) だ。でも呪いに殺されるのは「間違った死」だ。だから、手の届く範囲であっても目の前の人を全力で助ける。それが悠仁の行動原理となっています。
自分が死ぬ時のことはわからんけど、生き様で後悔はしたくない。
I don’t know how I feel when I’m dead, but I don’t want to regret the way I lived.
虎杖悠仁の言葉です。
これも、上の悠仁の行動原理を表しています。
俺は不平等に人を助ける。
I’m going to help people unequally.
I want more good people to enjoy fairness, even if only a few.
伏黒恵の信念を示した言葉です。
悠仁の行動原理に祖父が影響しているように、伏黒の行動原理には姉が影響しています。姉の津美紀は呪いによって寝たきりです。どのような善人であれ理不尽な不幸は平等に訪れる。自分にできることは目の前にいる人を助けることだけだ。たとえそれがたまたまで不平等であってもだ。それが伏黒の信念です。
私が私であるためだもの
After all, it means being true to myself.
釘崎野薔薇の信念を表す言葉です。
高専に入った理由を聞かれ、田舎から東京に来たかったからと答える釘崎。そんな理由で命を懸けられるのかと問われ、懸けられるわ、だって私が私であるためだものと答えます。
周りに味方が何人いようと死ぬときは独りだよ。
But no matter how many allies you have around you, when you die, you’ll be alone
五条悟から伏黒恵への助言です。
連携プレーが必要であっても、周りの力をあてにしていては本気の力は出せない、ということです。
小さな絶望の積み重ねが人を大人にするのです。

脱サラ呪術師七海健人の言葉です。
呪術師はクソ、と高専卒業後普通のサラリーマンになりますが、労働もクソ、と呪術師になり直します。

しかし、裕二の生活は一変する。裕二の友人が呪物を開けた時、事態は悪化する。伏黒と裕二が呪いに敗れかけた時、裕二は呪物を飲み込み、その力を獲得する。その結果、裕二は呪物の呪いを受け、伏黒のいるスリルに富んだ世界、呪術師と呪いの世界に巻き込まれることになる。
＜登場人物＞
Yuji Itadori is the main protagonist of the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He ate one of Sukuna’s fingers and became Sukuna's vessel. After that, Yuji began attending Tokyo Jujutsu High alongside Megumi Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki as first-year students.
Yuji is a fair person who truly cares for not only his comrades but anyone he views.
Yuji is one of his school's most powerful and talented students, despite having no connections to the jujutsu world before.
Satoru Gojo is a special grade jujutsu sorcerer and a teacher at the Tokyo Jujutsu High.
Even among the special grade sorcerers, Satoru is known to be the strongest sorcerer, holding both immense amounts of cursed energy and a dangerously powerful technique.
Suguru Geto is an antagonist. He was originally a student of Masamichi alongside Satoru Gojo at Tokyo Jujutsu High. His experiences as a jujutsu sorcerer bred a deep hatred for non-sorcerers, leading to an incident where Suguru massacred over a hundred civilians in a single night. He was expelled from Jujutsu High and came to be known as the worst of all curse users.
However, Geto was already dead and his deceased body was possessed by Kenjaku. Kenjaku uses cursed technique that allows him to transplant his brain into different bodies to possess them, he has inhabited different people throughout the centuries, assuming different identities.
He chose Geto for his Cursed Spirit Manipulation, assuming his identity as Pseudo-Geto.
Mahito is a cursed spirit allied with Pseudo-Geto. His group's ultimate goal is the eradication of humanity and ultimately replacing the population with cursed spirits.
虎杖悠仁は「呪術廻戦」の主人公だ。悠仁は宿儺の指を食べ宿儺の器となった後、東京都立呪術高等専門学校に伏黒恵や釘崎野薔薇と共に1年生として通うことになる。
裕二は公正な人物だ。仲間だけでなく誰であっても本当に心配し面倒をみる。
裕二は高専でも最も強力で才能ある生徒の一人だ。これまで呪術とは全く関係ない世界で生きてきたにもかかわらずだ。
五条悟はは特級呪術師で東京都立高等専門学校の教師でもある。
特級呪術師の中でも、五条は最強の呪術師として知られている。桁違いの呪力量と危険で強力な術式を有する。
夏油傑は敵役だ。夏油は元々は東京都立呪術高等専門学校の学生で、五条悟と共に夜蛾正道の下で学んだ。彼は呪術師として経験を積むうちに、非術師へ深い嫌悪を抱くようになり、百人以上の一般人を一夜で殺戮する事件を起こした。彼は呪術高専を退学となり最悪の呪詛師となった。
しかし夏油は既に死んでいて、彼の体は羂索に乗っ取られていた。羂索は自らの脳を他人の体に移植し相手を乗っ取る呪術を使い、何世紀もの間、幾つもの体に乗り移りその人物として生きてきた。
夏油を選んだ目的は呪霊操術だ。
真人は偽夏油と組んだ呪霊だ。彼の仲間の最終目的は人類を駆逐し呪霊が人類に取って代わることだ。

呪術廻戦は、印象的な名言と呪術を使った独特な必殺技が特に魅力だ。
特に私が好きな名言は主人公虎杖悠仁の祖父が死の間際に悠仁に伝えた言葉だ。
「悠仁、お前は強いから人を助けろ。手の届く範囲でいい。救える奴は救っとけ。お前は大勢に囲まれて死ね。俺みたいにはなるなよ。」
好きな呪術は五条悟の領域展開、無量空虚だ。
