Kimetsu no Yaiba, Season 2 was finally released October 10 in Japan!
But, before starting the entertainment district arc, the revised version of the movie, Mugen Train (Mugen ressha) arc will be put on television to complete the TV series in a row.
Mugen train arc includes 70 new cuts and a totally new and original episode, which is Ep.1, in addition to new background music and new songs.

Episode 1 of the Mugen Train arc: Kyoshiro Rengoku, the Flame Hashira (En-bashira)
The first episode of the Mugen Train arc tells us what happened before Rengoku-san got on board the Mugen Train after leaving the mansion of Ubuyashiki at the end of the season 1.
The title of the episode 1 is “Kyoshiro Rengoku, the Flame Hashira (‘En-Hashira’)”.
As the title itself indicates the first episode explains more who is Rengoku, providing some additional detailed side-stories.
Why the Mugen Train was in operation although more than 40 people had disappeared in the train.
The answer lies in this first episode.
One day before the departure of the Mugen Train, Rengoku-san was looking for a demon, who attacked various people around the train station.
A girl and her grandmother lived selling lunch boxes for train travelers, but for the mysterious incidents happened on the train, the sales plunged recently.
Rengoku-san asked the girl if she noticed any demon, but she didn’t believe that there existed a demon in the world.
Then, Rengoku-san visited the train maintenance factory providing a lot of lunch boxed to the workers there, and he found that the Mugen Train would be back on the rail from the next day. Just after that, he met the demon he was looking for.
The demon ran away with top speed to kill the girl and her grandmother, but Rengoku-san ran faster than the demon and saved them terminating the demon.
At that moment, the grandmother remembered the father of Rengoku saved her and her daughter, that is the mother of the girl, 20 years ago.
Although the demon was dead, Rengoku-san suspected that there would be another more powerful demon in the Mugen Train.
That is why Rengoku-san decided to get on board the Mugen Train. And he bought all lunch boxes that the girl had at hand for sale.
Thus, Rengoku-san was eating a lot of lunch boxes when Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke joined together with him on the Mugen Train in the movie.

The Entertainment District arc
The Entertainment District arc will start December 5 at night after 7 episodes of the Mugen Train arc.
The TV station decided to broadcast it at night instead of the golden time (19:00-21:00), because the scene of the arc is based on the Yoshiwara district, that is the licensed quarter or the famous red light district of that time.
Although many boys and girls also love Kimetsu no Yaiba, Demon Slayers, the TV station chose to maintain the bizarre and decadent atmosphere of the original story.
The production company is the same as the season 1 and the movie, Ufotable.
